Our Goals

Our goal is to help make your child’s dental care as easy, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. We feature a pleasant environment and state-of-the-art equipment. We encourage you to be part of our dental health team, working with us to protect the health of your child. We will be counting on you to give your child encouragement in good dental health practices at home, as well as share with us your questions and concerns. If your child is anxious about dentistry, medically comprised, or faces developmental challenges, we are an excellent choice for dental care. Our training, experience, and dedication will help your child get the needed care in the most supportive, possible way.

We recognize that every child is unique. Therefore, we can choose from a variety of approaches to make the first visit comfortable and fun for your son or daughter. The initial visit may last about an hour. Dr. West will check for any concerns related to the tissues of the mouth, count your child’s teeth and we may clean and apply fluoride to your child’s teeth. Pictures (X-rays) may also be taken. We will definitely give your child a lot of praise to help build a positive dental attitude. Parents are welcome to either accompany their child back in the hygiene area during the first appointment or relax in the reception area. On subsequent routine visits and during appointments for dental restorative care, we ask that the parents relax in the reception area. We will review appointment details with you at the conclusion of the visit. At this time, we will schedule your child’s next appointment as necessary.
