Dr. Melissa Liu is a compassionate general dentist who completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California, in July 2025. Originally from College Station, Texas, she grew up in the heart of Aggieland but proudly attended the rival university—earning her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from The University of Texas at Austin. Inspired by her childhood dream of becoming a dentist at just five years old, she went on to achieve her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry.

Dr. Kamran Shaikh earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the New York University College of Dentistry. He went on to do a hospital-based residency at the University of Louisville. After practicing general dentistry for a couple of years, Dr. Shaikh returned to the University of Louisville to pursue his passion of being an orthodontist while also earning his Master’s degree in Oral Biology.
