Melissa Liu DDS

Dr. Melissa Liu is a compassionate general dentist who completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California, in July 2025. Originally from College Station, Texas, she grew up in the heart of Aggieland but proudly attended the rival university—earning her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from The University of Texas at Austin. Inspired by her childhood dream of becoming a dentist at just five years old, she went on to achieve her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry.

During her AEGD residency—a rigorous 12-month program offering advanced clinical and didactic training—Dr. Liu honed her expertise in restorative dentistry, endodontics, dentoalveolar and implant surgery, treatment planning, and care for medically complex and geriatric patients. After completing her residency, she moved back to Houston to begin the next stage of her career in general dentistry.

Dr. Liu is passionate about delivering patient-centered, high-quality care and is dedicated to lifelong learning and professional development. She believes strongly in conservative, preventative dentistry and values building meaningful relationships with patients to tailor individualized treatment plans that enhance both their oral health and confidence.
